Champagne J. Lassalle is a renowned family-owned grower-producer (récoltant-manipulant) in the Premier Cru village of Chigny-lès-Roses on the Montagne de Reims, founded in 1942 by Jules Lassalle. Now run by his daughter Chantal Decelle-Lassalle and granddaughter Angéline Templier, the estate spans about 16 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards (primarily Pinot Meunier, with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir). They emphasize low-intervention winemaking, full malolactic fermentation (rare in Champagne), and extended lees aging for complexity and finesse. The house is celebrated for elegant, terroir-driven Champagnes that rival top houses at grower prices.
