La Ca' Nova is a tiny, traditional family estate in Barbaresco, Piedmont, run by the Rocca brothers (Marco and Giulio). They farm old vines organically in prime crus like Montefico, using native yeasts, no temperature control, submerged-cap fermentation, and long aging in large Slavonian oak casks to preserve purity and terroir. The Montefico Vigna Bric Mentina (named after grandmother Clementina) is their flagship single-vineyard Barbaresco from one of the most prestigious sites in the zone, known for its power, density, structure, and remarkable longevity. It offers exceptional value and is often considered one of the great under-the-radar Barbarescos.
